The fact that you're reading this suggests that you or one of your mates owns an Xbox and that its given you some trouble. Well you're not alone; unfortunately the Xbox has some notorious problems that afflict a highish percentage of machines.
The good news is that you don't have to send it off to get repaired, no sir-ee, you can do it yourself and I promise its not rocket science. With some common tools that you already have and a small bit of knowledge, you can fix your Xbox permanently.
Soldering Accessories
There are a number of different problems that can afflict your console, you can get 1 red ring, 2 red rings, 3 red rings, you may have error messages, perhaps your machine has just frozen mid playing, perhaps your machine keeps scratching your discs etc, there really are a lot that can go wrong with it.
Sometimes you can sort it out just by plugging it out and plugging it in again (in the case of a power surge for example), sometimes turning it off for a while will sort it out (in the case of it overheating) and sometimes checking all cables may sort it out (sometimes you may get the red rings just because the AV cable is loose/unplugged).
But outside of these obvious ones, sometimes you may need to have to take it apart (its very straight forward once you know a small bit about it) and fix something internal (for example sometimes the soldering can break off due to overheating but this is quite easily fixed).
